Chariots of Fire -75th Birthday Surprise! This was 9 months in the planning and what a shock I had when I opened my front door and outside was a Fire Engine (I do love a man in Uniform!) and I was given a ride to a lovely local Hotel. As we swept up the beautiful driveway, with the sirens blazing, 60 'Cotswold Gems' were standing outside in the freezing cold to welcome me - they even had the RED carpet rolled out!! We had a superb lunch and a lot of fun - it was a room filled with love, just like a favourite blanket wrapped around me. Everyone should have a Birthday like this at least once. I'm still looking back at 'little' things which now make sense.

Oh yes, I'm the one standing at the top of the Fire Engine's steps with the Purple Fireman's Helmet!!

My name is Carolyn  and I actually live near Worcester, UK but am visiting friends in Florida. Today my friend and I went to Cocoa for lunch and we sat next to a group of ladies all wearing red hats. My friend explained that they were a chapter of the Red Hat Society. They kindly let me take their photo. A few had already departed but you get the idea.  They certainly were enjoying themselves!
Regards,
Carolyn

This is a photo of Cotswold Gems trip to Snowshill Lavender Farm in July 2010.  The view as we came up the hill to the Farm was spectacular and the perfume

surrounded us as we  toured the fields of lavender and sun flowers.  We naturally created quite a stir with our red and purple against the lavender background.

The restored Barn is now a lovely restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by lavender flavoured shortbread - yum!!
